With a much more intuitive design, powerful search engine, and easy to use communication tools, saveourshores.org is now on the cutting edge of environmental websites. The staff at SOS will be hard at work posting news about our own programs and events along with relevant developments affecting the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. With this new piece of technology SOS hopes to know what your thoughts, concerns and questions are about preserving the biggest natural resource closest to us, the ocean.

- Share Links – email a story or snippet to a friend directly from our website.
- Membership Page - become a member or renew online using Google Checkout and SOS gets every penny until 2009!
- iCal feeds – add SOS events to your online calendar or PDA.
- RSS feeds - signup with the RSS feed to get the newest content without visiting the site.
- Public Commenting - post your thoughts and ideas about the content of the site.
- Event Signups - Sanctuary Stewards and event participants will now be able to

- Email/contact preferences – control how you want to be notified by SOS (i.e. Action Alerts, E-Bulletin)
- FAQ - got a question about anything marine-related? Submit it, and SOS will do our best to get the information to you and publish your question.
