California Clean Boating Network
The California Coastal Commission, Save Our Shores and the Department of Boating and Waterways Boating Clean and Green Campaign are pleased to announce a Central Coast Chapter of the California Clean Boating Network (CCBN). This chapter has been inactive for a few years and we are here to revive it! The Central Coast is an area in which harbor programs are proliferating and a forum for networking, peer review, and information exchange is highly needed. We hope you will join us!
The purpose of the California Clean Boating Network is to improve communication and coordination between harbor stakeholders and clean boating educators in California. The quarterly CCBN meetings will involve presentations from local experts on current ocean issues and clean boating programs.
The CCBN provides:
- The most up to date educational materials for clean boating programs and outreach
- Collaborations with other local boating organizations
- Ways to Identify funding sources for harbor and boater pollution prevention projects
- Great peer review and feedback on proposed clean boating projects
- A forum to evaluate the impact of current educational campaigns
Developing a Central Coast Chapter in which all partners assist in educating the boating community will ensure that useful, reliable, and consistent information is presented to boaters on the Central Coast.
Most importantly, YOUR participation will help reduce pollution and protect the marine environment!
